I’ve signed up for my 22nd marathon. Unlike many of the races I’ve done over the years, I didn’t share that I had signed up for this race on social media. Which, for me, is actually a good sign. It tells me that this is something I feel protective of. But I wanted to share some thoughts here with you, because many of you have shared the goals you’re working towards this year.
I thought about whether or not to train for a marathon this spring for a long time before committing, and I even started training for a couple of weeks before actually signing up to a race. Because I’ve spent so long pondering if and how I’ll train for this race, I thought I’d summarise some of that here it’s useful to you now or in the future.
