A few weeks ago, I was at my regular circuits class. The circuit was split in two and at first we were performing each exercise for a duration of time (I think it was 40 seconds) before moving onto the next. In the second half of the circuit we were performing 10 reps of each exercise before moving onto the next.
What do you think happened to the form of some of the class participants in the second half? I’ll tell you what I observed: once we switched to doing 10 reps rather than 40 seconds of an exercise, some people sped up and their form deteriorated.
