Hello!

Lazy Girl Running was founded by me, Laura Fountain, a UK Athletics Coach in Running Fitness, Level 3 Personal Trainer and tutor for England Athletics coaching courses.

I’ve run 21 marathons, but for a long time I couldn’t run 400 meters. I started running as a complete beginner back in 2008 and at the same time I started a blog and named it after myself: Lazy Girl Running.

I started my running groups in 2013 and since then I’ve helped hundreds of women start and return to running. My running groups, were founded through a belief that running can be fun, even for complete beginners.

I write for Women’s Running magazine as a columnist and coach. I have also written two books ‘The Lazy Runner’ (Pitch, 2012) and ‘Tricurious’ (Summersdale, 2015).
